Question: Am I right to be annoyed?
So I spent probably 2 hours online today digging out a bunch of interesting links on Patrick Fitzgerald and posting them, and I came up with the interesting tidbit that the guy who appointed him submitted his resignation in the spring, effective this fall. So somebody else took that tidbit, started their own thread, posted that they were doing so in the original thread, but didn't give me a lick of credit for finding it in the new thread. You know, whenever I post something that I find here, I *always* make a point of giving credit, and I'm a little cheesed that this person did not. Am I right in thinking that this is poor form? Should I say something to them?

Sidebar: You know me, I drop KO'isms on all the threads.

<snort> I hate being ignored too, eX-pecially when I have slam dunk points to make.

As far as form, I cover most of the "animal rights terrorists" threads and ask for a source. Usually nothing, nada, Zzzzz.... in response. Bugs the hell out of me too.

2. I see you got your response!
And I got given some cred in the body of the thread, so I'm happier now. I know, it's small stuff in the long run but that stuff does irritate you, doesn't it? :hi:

5. Yeah. And I think someone misunderstood Keith
because they didn't get that what he's generally against is ANYONE bandying about the term "Nazi" as a generic term to describe anyone whose behavior they find repugnant or whose politics they don't agree with. And he's right. People DO use it too much, on all sides of the political fence (except, of course, for those sick enough to ADMIRE the Nazis). The world in general needs an equivalent of Godwin's Law--compare someone to Hitler and the argument automatically shuts down.

No, people are not saying that "anything you do is OK so long as you don't murder 6 million people." What they ARE saying is that the term "Nazi" describes a particularly insidious brand of evil that should be remembered for its particularness and should not be used lightly to describe every Tom, Dick and Harry whose politics we don't like or whose behavior we find morally abhorrent. On that, I'm with him 100 percent.
