So, folks, who do you think it’s gonna be: Pat “Tony Soprano” Robertson, for his “if you don’t like ‘em, whack ‘em” position on Venezuela’s president, or George W. Bush, for his criticism of anti-war protestors? (I personally hope a grizzly bear gets him while he’s bike riding in Idaho. Where’s a good pothole when you need one???)

(I'm going with Pat. I actually saw him at the Papal mass back in 1995, in Central Park. He was the only "celeb" that got booed.)

Bush's position is nothing new--it'll be covered along with the rest of the news--and Pat's is so off the wall that he'll probably be the #5 story. Then again, it's not the first time he's gone off the deep end. (Let's not forget, he and Jerry Falwell blamed 9/11 on feminists, gays, lesbians and abortionists, whose eeeevul activities caused God to become so angry that he removed the veil of protection with which he had previously covered his blessed America, allowing it to be viciously attacked.)

Nah, today's Worst Person will be some non-celebrity who has done something really cruel and stupid, probably.

Apparently it's not enough that drug addict, college dropout, and serial failure at marriage Rush Limbaugh sits on his anal cyst-afflicted butt all day and has his calls screened and makes cheap shots at Gold Star mothers. No, the Media Research Center has to attack Keith Olbermann on Limbaugh's behalf. Get a load of this...load.

Okay, to recap, the Media Research Center (a right-wing group) claimed that Countdown's segment on the Worst Person in the World distorted poor little Rush Limbaugh's words on Cindy Sheehan. You have to scroll through a lot of nonsense to get to it.

I got a gander at one of the MRC people when I attended a congressional hearing on public broadcasting. The representative they sent was in a high dudgeon. I suppose he would have felt better without the underpants being in a bunch and all.

KO posted Rush's transcript on his blog, as promised, and it bears him out (quel surprise). I don't always agree with Keith, but I have never seen him intentionally quote someone out of context; that just not the way he works. Call it ethics, journalism, or what you will, but that's just the way he is.

Ann Coulter, easily. She was on “Hannity and Colmes” last night, and was given a chance to retract her statement that New Yorkers are cowards, and would surrender under a terrorist attack. She stood by her remarks! Worst person in the universe, for that one!
