I have received word from a Certain Erstwhile DU'er who has called MSNBC today (yes, they are answering their phone; the area code, however, is 201, so the number is 201-583-5000) that she has received reassurance that Countdown WILL be on tonight.

She said they said "Countdown" will be on. She didn't say specifically that they promised Keith, so the pessimist in me rises. :-( But anyway...DO TUNE IN at 8 ET tonight, or you may miss something.

the cable newsies schedules have been verklempt all weekend, which I'm assuming includes tonight.

I know the Countdown staff lurks here, so just want to say, if it's Tucker or Rita at 8pm, I'm going to Anderson at CNN, and flipping over to see Geraldo or Shep on Fox.

These people were WONDERFUL all weekend. MSNBC was a miserable failure :(
