Ratings for Monday!
Here ya go:

6pm: Hume: 1,809,000 / Dobbs: 964,000 / Mad Money: 238,000 / Abrams: 422,000

7pm: Shep: 2,009,000 / Cooper: 1,275,000 / Showbiz: 159,000 / Hardball: 589,000 / CNBC: 175,000

8pm: O'Reilly: 3,053,000 / Zahn: 1,174,000 / Grace: 748,000 / Olbermann: 605,000 / Conan: 160,000

9pm: H&C: 2,251,000 / King: 1,277,000 / Prime News: 493,000 / Rita: 498,000 / Mad Money repeat: 109,000

10pm: Greta: 1,817,000 / NewsNight: 1,269,000 / Grace repeat: 501,000 / Scarborough: 610,000 / Deutsch: 92,000

11pm: O'Reilly repeat: 1,437,000 / NewsNight: 912,000 / Situation: 272,000

Countdown's behind Scarborough, but only by 5,000 viewers. The bad news? Nancy Grace topped him. The good news? He still beat Rita.

1. so, neck-and-neck with Joe, a skosh ahead of Tweety
and Rita is still losing a lot of the lead she gets from Countdown. KO goes back and forth in the wars with Nancy -- I wonder if he does better or worse on nights when Tweety hosts Hardball. I also wonder if the numbers are weaker when KO missed the previous evening or when Countdown didn't air at all (the concert last Friday). I see that the numbers are dropping, but apparently everyone's are; KO is in a 5:1 ratio with O'Lielly.

2. Gee, does this mean
that Rita's show isn't such a "hit"?

3. He did beat Hardball, though.

And, still, I have to ask: Who the hell is watching Faux? They beat CNN by a goodly amount. Is this like the easy listening station getting the highest ratings because it's on in so many dentist's offices?

4. and auto repair shops?
Frankly, I do wonder how many of those sets are on in small businesses as background noise. Is anyone actively watching them?

5. If Faux is on when I have to wait,
I usually ask the receptionist if I can change the channel. Funny thing is, once I do, people around me say "thank you - I can't stand that station."
