What do YOU look forward to when Keith returns?
For the past week, my life has been like this:

but it will soon look like this:

What a sad comment on me, eh?

The life of Berry...lived vicariously through watching a news anchor on TV.

I think I'll go crawl into a hole now.

Oh well. Anyone else excited? What are you hoping for most tomorrow night?

Coverage of the protest? A hint that maybe FEMA and Mr. DucT Tape didn't do such a great job of handling Rita as everyone would like us to think they did?

Or are you just looking forward to seeing the first Keith-hosted Oddball in weeks? The first paper script toss in weeks? And, after many days of deprivation, watching him throw out the first pitch (of paper wad, that is)?

Please share. I'm feeling especially pathetic tonight and need the support. Maybe I should have kept my knees looser.

The wad is in your court.

1. The return of Puppet Theatre, and my secret wish:
the return of the News Quiz! (I found an old videoclip on another website, and watching it brought a huge smile. Ah, the eppy when he won that teddy bear in a straightjacket!)

3. My favorite News Quiz prize were the pj's.
I'm looking forward to a sunny day with no hurricane rain (here) and no pictures of news people getting battered by hurricane winds. Rained all day and, yes, we needed it but acold rain is'nt my idea of fun.

8. It's over at Olbermann.org
You may have to scroll for it, and depending on your media player, it varies what you can see:

4. Well, considering
that there wasn't a pic of her with duct tape over her mouth, I'd say the new head of FEMA didn't do such a great job of handling Rita. Oh, sorry, you meant Rita the hurricane.

(too easy, but i couldn't resist)

9. Rev...?
when did you start wearing panties?

All I'm looking forward to is getting home. Maybe tonight. Took the car to a garage this morning. It wouldn't shift out of "park", an ominous sign. Turns out not to be incipient transmission death, but a solenoid in the shift cable that won't turn off, which is why we had the dead battery a while back. They can't fix it here, though: nearest dealer is in SA, they don't deliver parts (local garage holds dim opinion of that dealer in any case) and the car is drivable as long as you never ever never put it in "park" so we're going to try to go home after dark (it's 102 degrees here today) and get it fixed at our usual place in Houston later this week. Miss Thang is enjoying the concept of having her bday spread out over several days. ;-)
