91. Only thing that could spoil the week is that damn hurricane.

I am praying that Wilma calms down to a 2 or even a 1 but unfortunately it doesn't look like that's going to happen. The problem with hurricanes is that once they enter the Gulf, there's nothing else for them to do but hit land. I'm very worried about my Mom. She did not evacuate last year when Charlie was headed right at us and we were in a shelter. I couldn't go out on the roads to go get her (even though she's stubborn and she wouldn't have come anyway) and so she was hiding in her walk-in closet. This time she is not alone, she got back together with her ex-husband, they are dating now (oy, don't ask!) and so at least she will be going to his house inland. I'm also worried about my house, trying to find someone to put boards up on the windows for me long distance is not working out too well.:scared: :scared: :scared:

peninsula and give you some trouble on the east coast. This past summer when I was in Fla-la-la, I saw the flood line for a hurricane 3 in my small town, the entire downtown would be underwater. The wind from this thing is supposed to be widespread and huge, Max Mayfield said not to only focus on the eye but worry about strong winds whipping around 230 miles from the center. I can just see the barbeque and the shed hitting the house, oy, the only hurricane I want anyone to have to deal with next week is Hurricane Patrick.

Now they're saying a 2 when it hits the West Coast, and it's gonna slooow down over the Yucatan. The longer it stays there, it will weaken. There's also a model that has it going down really low, out over Cuba. Regardless, this will be a fast moving storm when it gets caught in the Westerlies and the whole Florida "event" start to finish is about six hours.
