OK, can we all just choke Rita Cosby now and get it over with? |
|
Looks as if the Daytona Beach News-Journal (so says Inside Cable News) has learned the truth about Throaty McHuskington's political leanings, while she was at a dinner there pretending to be someone important whose "meetings with world leaders" matter more than her endless quest for the truth on Natalee Holloway.
She is quoted as saying "her bosses don't know whether she is Republican or Democrat. However, she lauded President Bush, saying he was 'incredibly admirable.' If she were to interview him, she'd ask him how he thought things have gone wrong in Iraq, she said. 'I really do believe President Bush really does care,' Cosby said."
Well, there you have it. Just kill me now.
Oh, and I just love this quote from one of the dinner attendees:
"Bobbi Coleman, a Republican, said she wasn't familiar with Cosby, but is an avid viewer of Fox News. 'I do think most Republicans watch Fox News,' Coleman said. 'They really pull from the left toward the right, toward the center.'"
Oh yeah...you betcha. Faux News is a CENTRIST organization. Only a Republican!

3. I was thinking it might be a community service to off her |

just in case we ever suffer a personal tragedy. That way, we wouldn't have to worry about that having that skank come slinking around to add to whatever troubles we were already dealing with. Just sayin'...

4. Ladies and gentlemen, start your remotes. |

Limber up that finger you use for shutting off the TV or changing the channel when Countdown is over! Make sure you are as quick on the trigger as possible!

7. Someone in GD made the loveliest remark along those lines... |

they said that the handoff from Keith to Rita is the creepiest five seconds in television... like dining in a restaurant and discovering that the waiter has just replaced your napoleon with a ho-ho.

It really is icky. The woman is the living definition of "the bubble-headed bleach blonde" who tells you about the plane crash with a gleam in her eye.

5. It's the fact that she's a vulture that bothers me. |
|
Basically all she is is an ambulance chaser or a funeral home invader -- nothing more. In a just world, villagers would be chasing her with torches and pitchforks.

Rita also feeds on the living. And it's not just the stories she covers, but how she does them. I've seen Keith cover tragic stories but he seemed to be truly saddened by them. Rita relishes them; to her, they're nothing more than junk food snacks at some sleazy bar. She is either totally lacking in emotion or imagination and can't seem to put herself in the shoes of her victims.
