I think not because CNN had pix of her smiling as Ted Kennedy was asking her hubby ?s
earlier in the day.

2. I was watching it live
and until it was pointed out that she was doing something I didn't even notice her. Then on the replay before they used a close up,single her face out shot and added commentary-I thought she was laughing and couldn't control it and that caused the tears. Now the close ups shown later where the single her out and really got up into a full frame of her face she looked more like she was crying. Real or fake doesn't matter, the spin they put on it does since before that the commentary was how easy the Dems were being on him and how they (MSM) thought they would ask harder questions and be harder on him. Also how boring the hearing were with no new information coming out. The high point up to that point was Specter and Kennedy.

7. I am stuck in a
I don't know still. And it is getting kind of late for reservations, though travel wise I could always take the train. Basically it is looking like I won't make it but I am still hoping. I have been dealing with doctors and test the last few weeks and they have this hurry up and wait attitude. So far my blood test have been wacky and they found nodules on my thyroid. I'm not real concerned after reading up on it but it seems one test leads to another and my schedule is at the doctors mercy these days. More frustrated than anything so on the quiet side.

3. I think it was real, but then so will be the tears of millions of
Americans if Judge Alito becomes Justice Alito.

4. the timing seems very odd for it to be real
and if her feelings were hurt because someone implied that her husband is a bigot... guess what lady, your husband's past behavior suggests that he is a bigot.

9. remember when ferarro was the vp candidate?
i couldn't believe the number of letters to the editor to the local rag that said it was "illegal" for her to use her maiden name & one even said it was illegal to run for public office under an "assumed name."

so many little men, threatened by one woman keeping her maiden name. sheesh.

11. What's wrong with not sharing your husband's last name?
Edited on Fri Jan-13-06 07:45 PM by BerryBush
If I marry I sure don't plan to take my husband's name. He's not taking mine. Why should I take his?

Edit: It's definitely not illegal for a woman to keep her own name. In Hawaii at one time it was, but I think that has changed. Otherwise it's a custom, nothing more. And if you keep the name after you're married, it's not your "maiden" name, it's just YOUR NAME.

It amazes me that people are still so stultifyingly old-fashioned on this issue. If it makes things socially difficult for some people because the couple doesn't all have one name, or someone gets the idea that the parents of their kids aren't married, too damn bad. They're married, all they have to do is say it. If people don't believe it or have a problem with it, tough toenails.

The crying was fake ...... the swift boat company had a press release ready to go as soon as
the tears started to flow. And the women sitting on her left was a handler from Creative
Response Concepts which is the swift boat p.r. firm.

Christ I really hate these shits!

Forgive me Rev.
