But I think I might sneak over to them if the second half is all celeb news.

So far, "Heckuva Hearing" Brownie is a great start to the show.

My patented Joseph Lieberman imitation. I wish I were going to NYC; then I could demonstrate for the KOEB. That voice and my Peter Lorre voice. Our old news director used to do a pretty scary Strom Thurmond imitation (no roving hands, though).

50. Okay, ready for this?
http://www.theage.com.au/articles/2004/08/13/1092340459567.html

Here are some snips:

"According to two university reports, rural villagers have used them as disposable water containers to wash, after relieving themselves in the fields. India's military have covered gun and tank barrels with condoms as protection against dust."

"Of the 891 million condoms meant to be handed out free, a considerable proportion were acquired by road-building contractors who mixed them with concrete and tar and used the mixture to construct roads, rendering road surfaces smooth and resistant to cracks."

"Weavers in Varanasi used around 200,000 condoms a day to lubricate their looms and to polish the gold and silver thread used to embroider the saris they produced. Sari maker Yusuf Bhai said they purchased the condoms from agents, who reportedly acquired them from agencies involved in family planning and AIDS prevention schemes."

158. Maybe the music was actually chosen by the Countdown staff on a lark!
Think about it. Some of their favorites got played, no? And the use of MJ's "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough" is like a dead giveaway.

The only thing was, there wasn't any of The Cure. Someone on staff definitely likes The Cure. They play "Close to Me" and "Just Like Heaven" a lot during Top 3 Soundbites.

I might come up with. When I heard "Video Killed the Radio Star", I was positive it was just some compilation CD. :)

And, awwww:
