Edited on Mon Apr-10-06 07:00 PM by Botany
Well Commandeer Bunny Pants tried a little Q & A in front of the students
of John Hopkins and got cooked .....

"Mr, President I am a grad student in international energy policy ....... " Sudent

* " ah ...... ah .... Well ..... thank you for the ..... ah good question and it is an important question ....."

Pink is all EDV! The song is amazing.

"How do you sleep when the rest of us cry"
"What do yo dream as a mother doesn't get a chance to say good bye."

Me loves some Pink and Indigo Girls.

36. Here's the blurb:
The current vice chair of the U.S. Election Assistance Commission, Ray Martinez submitted his resignation to President George W. Bush this morning. Mr. Martinez' resignation will become effective June 30, 2006. He cited family considerations as his primary reason for stepping down and lauded his colleagues at the EAC and the agency's staff for their continued work on behalf of the nation.

On April 8, Martinez had met with election integrity activists participating in a VoteTrustUSA leadership workshop. The Commissioner graciously and diplomatically fielded a barrage of questions from leading election refom advocates from across the country for well over and hour. The questions were challnging and well informed and reflected the growing crisis facing our democracy.

Martinex had been recommended for nomination by Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle (D-SD) in 2003

I spoke to one of my friends in NY earlier and wouldn't you know it, but her mothers of twins convention (she has two sets) is always the last weekend in April. She leaves town Thursday morning, but she gets back Sunday afternoon.

I'm glad I have a late flight on Monday. She'll come into the city, we'll have a late, leisurely breakfast and then she'll drive me to LaGuardia on her way home. Works out perfectly!

60. You can Google it- there are several locations in Manhattan.
We went to the one at the South end of Central Park- they are famous
for their interesting combinations of fruit to make preserves and they have
excellent scones. You can buy the preserves/jams in the restaurant or in
stores like Dean and Delucca (the preserves are expensive- but very good).

85. the DNA evidence would exonerate them
if she has some other man's DNA on her. Do we even know that? Otherwise, we don't know at this point what was tested or what was found. Could be there was ambiguity but not enough to call it a match. Could be there was nothing (condom use, but you'd expect she have some of their tissue under a fingernail, wouldn't you?) Could be she was raped by someone at the party but not one of the men tested. Could be she was raped, but not at the party. Could be she's invented the whole thing. Right now, I'd love to be fly on the wall in the DA's office.

76. Okay, we'll buy you "Yakety Sax" for your next birthday.
I forget who performed it, but that's the name of the Benny Hill theme.

Hm. I suppose that's on some Rhino collection of best instrumentals or something along with "Wipeout" and "Sleepwalk." (Makes note to self.)

81. I believe it was Boots Randolph
who also, incidentally, recorded a great version of Roger Miller's "King of the Road."

join your sister Apple and write a nice tell all book later in life. :hi:, all!

I've returned, but missed the show, so I'll read the thread after 24.

69. Hey, Pats
Did you pick out some nice carpet and paint for the condo clubhouse?

See y'all Thursday -- I'm going to see Carl Levin tomorrow night and will be at a seder at my aunt's on Wednesday night.

A zissen Pesach, Patsy!

71. A zissen Pesach to you, too, Sharon.
Actually it was an election -- and I love to vote and see it count. :) Enjoy Carl! That should be great.

77. A hit & run
Edited on Mon Apr-10-06 10:57 PM by CC
to say hi and I got my windows today, finally.:bounce::bounce::bounce::bounce::bounce:

Will try reading the thread tomorrow. I miss you all. I do get to hear Keith at least if not actually watch every night. So for day 8 posting the pics here. The old old house siding is showing and they are working hard at straightening the wall out. Found a third just covered over window too. Ter is so lucky I didn't know they were there. Have an appraiser coming tomorrow so off to bed. I have a male in the house (sorry ASTB but well so true) so things are getting done a bit back wards, started work first, worry about money second.  :banghead: Or as my mom told my sister, "You know single isn't really all that bad. At least you don't have to deal with a man that just doesn't get it. I feel sorry for Ter when you sister gets on him until I remember what happens when she doesn't." And he isn't that bad.

There goes another window.

Siding circa 1888 as is that part of the house. Look a third hidden widow. Going to take a while to tie the walls together straight so the siding stays and looks ok. Danny cussing the previous siding person and figuring it all out.

But the conclusion of such projects is always rewarding.
