There is suddenly WAAAAY too much Tucker on my TV. |

Edited on Thu Jul-20-06 08:08 PM by Patsy Stone
He's the one they sent? The guy who began by talking about the 2000 election with Bill Press?
He's on all the freakin' time!
I don't like that MSNBC plays Tucker and Matthews almost right after they've aired. And I don't really need to see why they need to be rerun at all except after midnight, for those who missed them.
That is all.
ed: Because it turns out that wasn't all. :)

1. I agree entirely. They seem to think they can make Tucker a hit by: |
|
a) sending him to Israel
b) giving us more of him.
Not gonna happen.
As for Tweety, if he ever unhitched the drool bucket he keeps under his chin for when he talks about Rudy Giuliani, he'd make the Katrina flooding look like a mud puddle.
In the meantime, do we even get KO in the morning anymore? No, because MSNBC feels pressured to have live news now all morning long. The good part? They've been using David Gregory to anchor the 9 a.m. hour. Go Stretch! :loveya:

2. Right after Katie left |
|
he was on the Today Show. Maybe he still is, I don't know. But, to me, David's not a morning chat show kinda guy. Too good to waste.
:loveya:
Yes, I've seen Lester Holt in the morning. :eyes:

3. I wish they'd add more Alison. |
|
Also, has anyone noticed how much they've had Rita (:puke:) doing news reports after KO's midnight Eastern show? I want to scream and break the television. :banghead:  Please, for all that is holy, Dan Abrams GET RID OF HER! (and Tweety, ex-Bowtie Boy and Joe). More Keefe, Alison, David Gregory and add Rachel, then I'd be a happy camper and watch MSNBC much, much more.

4. Yeah, Rita's reward for getting canceled was to do the "special reports." |
|
I've been sincerely hoping that her work on the Mideast crisis is so bad that they end up firing her. Is that bad of me? O8)
I've often maintained that if MSNBC would not be afraid to just brand itself as a more liberal news network, dump the conservatives and add some more liberal types, it would get much better ratings as the news spread that there was a distinct alternative to Faux News.

6. it could be like the Fox/KO situation: they have to pay Rita whether |
|
or not she sits on the bench. I wonder how long it will take them to realize that benching her would have been the smarter choice. Tucker? I don't get it. They keep trying and trying, like someone thinks we're gonna fall in love with this guy once we get to know the "real Tucker" but the only Tucker we ever see is shallow and grating.
