Anybody watch Mythbusters last night?
They did a lot of interesting things with Mentos and Diet Coke. Then they used dry ice and various other things to create explosions. Dry ice in a plastic soda bottle is quite effective. Always wondered why you had to be over 18 to buy dry ice!

1. Today, I bought some mentos and ate them while sipping Diet Coke.
There were no explosions in my mouth. :evilfrown:

4. They were also the fruity ones.
I'm guessing they're not quite as effective. But they sure were good. :9

Get the ones with the pebbly coating and don't chew them.

On edit: DO IT IN THE SHOWER!

3. And I thought I read somewhere
that it was done with Diet Coke because it gets all over you and regular Coke was too sticky.

It seemed that in addition to the aspartame, there were other ingredients which caused the reaction as well. I wanted to see them try it with regular Coke to prove it would work.

8. Remember the time they tried to see if Pop Rocks and Coke would really
make your stomach explode?

Of course they couldn't use a real live person. So they came up with a fake human model and gave it a stomach from some dead animal. Kind of gross, but interesting. Not much happened.
