if the AP wire has a special subheader or alert for "photogenic white girl in distress". :grr: I hope they find her safe and sound, but is there really any need to broadcast this wall-to-wall? And do you for one minute believe that this sort of thing only happens to pretty white girls?

on edit: I feel bad for the family, too, but if my niece went missing in Aruba, broadcasting it all over America wouldn't bring her back and wouldn't make me feel better about the fact that she'd disappeared.

8. I don't know about the rest of you, but I actually tuned in partway

and I didn't think I would.

Actually, Alex wasn't half bad when snark was called for...she got into it. You should've seen her at the end of the show, after running Keith's taped "Five Favorites"...she had a whole PILE of wadded-up paper balls on the desk and was pitching them merrily one after another, each accompanied by the smashing-glass sound effect...

What persuaded me to keep watching was the fact that it was Trash Night at the Pentagon and they sure do know when to take out the trash! "Yes, we admit it, we now have PROOF of Qu'ran abuse...Hurry, let's release it now while nobody is paying attention! Even Olbermann is at a baseball game or something!"

All I can say is, I sure hope he puts on his blogging cap this weekend...and not about Deep Throat, either! It's time to go back to Puffy McMoonface and his sanctimonious claptrap!

Oh, and my reward for tuning in was getting to hear the sweet reassurance that "Keith will be back Monday." :-)

But I'm going to be conservative over the next little while. I'm close to hitting 1000 and I want to do it on the nightly blog while he's there!
