3. I just saw your response to my earlier post from this morning
We had a really good time. We met Bunny for lunch in the Village on Saturday. She's great and we spent several hours talking.

I didn't see KO, but I did see the huge billboard near Macy's -- actually, my husband spotted it first. Of course I took pictures and will post once I have them developed.

24. Yes, Ma'am!
We were walking away from it on the other side of the street, when all of a sudden my husband tells me to turn around and take a look. I had forgotten that someone mentioned there was one there. I couldn't find anything on the busses or subways, though.

Namely, not just the MWW, but the investment of an entire nation (and its tourist economy) in finding her.

Anti-trust, or something else? I missed the specifics.

Can't tell the diff between pot grown for individ. use and pot grown to sell in another state, so fed. law trumps state law.

Guess we're going to have to legalize it at the fed leve.

55. Thanks, Rev
It was good until we had to sit on a hot plane with no AC for wo hours before we took off. There were bad storms in Detroit and we had to wait until it was safe to land before we could take off. We didn't land until 11:15 (instead of around 10). We were flying in clear skies when we finally left, but off to our right we saw quite a light show over PA -- There was quite a storm lighting up sections of clouds every few seconds. It was pretty interesting watching it from that vantage point.

I couldn't stand to watch all the Reagan-worship the first time around so I just kept my TV off (probably depriving myself unfortunately of Keith in the process). The last thing I need is to see Scaryborough canonizing him a year later!

It was splendid meeting you and Dave in person in the Big Ap on Saturday.

Really so much fun. You must post the pics asap. I'm so glad to have had a close encounter of the KOEB kind.

Keef looks yummy tonight. He's wearing the purp. Unfortunately I have a migraine so not sure how much I'll be posting tonight.

Great show so far. KO really made sure to go after the conservative websites that are trying to set Kerry up before he talks about the DSM.

Did you get my e-mail?

It was really great meeting you, too. It was so good having someone of like mind to talk to who actually knew WTF I was talking about with the KOEB, DU and all of the issues. And it's nice to have a face to put with the posts for a change. I could have talked for days!

I definitely recommend meeting in person to anyone who has the opportunity -- We should have a KOEB convention at some central location one of these days for anyone who might be able to make it.

I don't know how many people could get to Detroit, but there's a huge cruise here the third Saturday in August every year -- I live very close to Woodward Ave., where the cruise is held and it runs for about 17 miles (I think) through 8 or nine different communities. We get over 1.5 million people every year (except 2 years ago when it fell the same weekend as the big blackout) and it's a huge party with classic cars, food and events in the various communities, etc. If anyone likes classic cars, this is the place to be that weekend. It usually falls right around my birthday or on my birthday. This year it's the day before, on Aug. 20.

Since we have this big Dream Cruise every summer near me, that's the cruise I was thinking about rather than the kind on a boat. I was thinking of a car cruise. Maybe it's a Detroit thing. There are lots of them in the area every summer ever since the big one started 11 years ago, but the August Dream Cruise is the biggest one. People from all over the world come.

So they're so terrified some of it might end up someplace else that they have to deny it to people for whom it is one of their few comforts in an otherwise miserable life?

Sheesh.

I want nothing to do with the stuff. Never did. Never was interested. Yeah, I know I'm a geek and a nerd in the eyes of some just for confessing that. I don't care.

But for cryin' out loud, if it makes some person with a terrible ailment feel free of pain for a little while...what is so terrible about that?

118. That, I confess, would be me.
I'm the one who initially accused Tucker of stealing the News Quiz, and I will continue to believe he is guilty of exactly that.

Talk about planting a demon seed. It all started when he caught Keith in the commissary (aka the Food Trough) and told him how much he LOOOOVED the News Quiz. That, my friends, was the beginning of the end, and we should have known it when Keith told the story....because that was the last News Quiz he ever did. Week after that he was off, after that the Pope died, and then Fridays on Countdown returned to normal but the News Quiz was gone. What other explanation can there be but: Tucker said "I want a WHOLE SHOW like THAT"? And he got one. And Keith, knowing when he was licked, backed off...

I want to rip off that bow tie and stomp it in the mud. :grr:

it will flop, they'll change the format, that will flop, they'll change the format, the next thing will flop, and after a decent interval of forgetfulness the NewsQuiz might just reappear.

125. All kids in all sports are getting pressured to perform better than ever
at a younger and younger age while their bodies are still growing. That's why they're getting surgery you normally see only pros or your grandma getting. *sigh*

126. Yep. Wasn't even the born-again virgin thing.
She just had so much to DOOOOOO, and so little TIIIIIIIME to do it in, and SOOOOOO much PRESSSURE.

Gee. If I had her mental stability I'd have hopped about 30 buses to Albuquerque in my lifetime by now. I think I would've started about fifth grade.

152. she had like 14 bridesmaids, didn't she?
why didn't she USE them? Couldn't the maid of honor or the groom have helped her buy some of the "attendant" gifts? We're supposed to believe she freaked a couple of days before the wedding? Oops, but didn't she already have a bus ticket in her pocket -- how does she explain that?

154. Yes I am!
I live in Acushnet! I didn't know Kerry was going to be there, otherwise, I would have been there to support his visit. I was less than 2 miles from where he was that day.

:hi: Mr. Catchawave from your old stomping grounds!

149. A hit and run again
now that I have power and the lights woke me up. Had storms and lost power but at least it waited until after Keith. Took a while to get this thing plugged back in to both power and cable. (I under it completely from all sources of electric burn out.) Sat and watched Keith whiule holding Gizmo and watching the light show outside. Great show tonight. Love the smack down of the news about Kerry and impeachment.

First WELCOME BACK Sharon and so neat you got to meet Bunny. I like the idea of a KOEB meet-up. (Though might have to invite some ex KOEBers) Least the one is really missing us.

On Gizmo, he hasn't been allowed to have another chemo treatment because both his red and white cell counts were low and he had an infection. He has antibiotics and the infection is gone (his poops no longer stink so god awful bad) and he perked up for a couple days. He started not wanting to eat or drink again today and I have been syringe feeding him for the last week. He goes back to the vets Wen. I think he is ready to give up even though I am not. I will see what the vet has to say Wen. but if he still has low blood counts and is still feeling so bad it may be time to let him go. As I lay on the couch holding him tonight I felt like he was just saying its time. Though if he isn't able to get chemo I will try to either let him go on his own and wait until Friday when the hub gets home. I will be pretty hit and miss for a while as Gizzymoto is the main thing on my mind and I want to spend as much time with him as possible, I'll let you all know things as I find them out. Tomorrow I will be holding him in between taking gigs and gigs of pictures of him.
