Maybe this is why Dean Appeals to Me?

Since the Civil War, the Republicans have made use of the “bloody-shirt.” The have perfected an adroitness in the use of an issue which enrages their base to superhuman effort to defeat the Democrats. For the past few decades that “bloody-shirt” has been, gun-control, abortion, the intellectual-elite, softness on defense and (the new one) softness on terrorism. The “bloody-shirt” has always been a charade to cover the real objectives that drive the right and the Republican power brokers.

Most of us rise like trout to fly when they shake those “bloody-shirts” at us. Then redfaced we enter into gainsaying of," oh yeah, well you....." which is what they want for our reaction. Dean on the other hand, just laughs at them, he says it aint so and then goes on to destroy the objective behind their charade.

That why I like the guy, so very much, is because he cuts through their bullshit.

Blitzer tried to paint the Ds with the Abramoff brush and Dean would have none of it.
