What about a Democratic Governor for 2008???
Edited on Sun Apr-23-06 10:56 PM by lovuian
Governor Janet Napolitano
Governor Bill Richardson
Governor Brad Henry
Governor Phil Bredesen
Governor Tim Kaine (just elected maybe too soon)
Governor Joe Manchin III

adding Mark Warner

I think these people should be looked at as possible candidates for Vice President or President...

2. I've been pushing for Brian Schweitzer of Mt. for quite a while!
If you've ever heard him speak, you'd understand why.

8. One thing at a time
At a time when *'s approval ratings are in the toilet, the last thing we need to be doing is helping Rove and the corporate owned media by talking about 2008. If we don't have congress back this fall or next winter, then we can just forget about 08 period.

7. Va. Gov. Mark Warner....
was one of the top five governors in the country last year. So I'd add him to your list. Way too soon for Kaine :hi:

9. Not Brad Henry
He doesn't have enough... something. I can't say for sure what that something is though.

Brad Henry hasn't really done anything to make himself a stand out. His biggest accomplishment, that he campaigned on, was getting the lottery to a vote of the people. Shortly after the lottery began, the smear against Henry started. It will be a big issue when he campaigns for re-election.

A lot of dems here that supported him for gov. have been disappointed that he hasn't done more for the party since he took office. Many blame Henry for Carson's loss to Coburn since he didn't actively campaign for Carson. We all know how that turned out. :puke:

10. Personality?

That's part of it anyway. He strikes me as someone trying way too hard to be "cool." It makes me wonder what the real, underlying personality is.

I'm also not real happy he's in bed with Microsoft.

I'll certainly vote for him again over the opposition in OK, but I don't think he'd make a good national candidate.

11. That's part of it
I think balls is the other. It's like he is afraid to make either side mad so he just doesn't step up & take any risks.

However I will definitely vote for him as Gov. again.
