My latest encounter with a fundie confirms what Bin Laden is saying
Re: "Zionist led war on Islam"

He says that everything we are seeing geopolitically right now comes from the biblical stance that we are living in the last days.

There is only one true religion
The anti-christ will arise from the religion of Islam
God has called his people to arms many times before in the bible
All of Islam hates us and wants to take over the world and is led by Satan himself

The guy used to be a bar fighter when growing up, had a stroke at forty-two and survived due to god's people praying for him after the doctors told him he would be paralyzed for the rest of his life. He was healed due to god.

So there you have it, war on all of Islam confirmed by the Bible Belt American Taliban believer!

9. I don't believe in "Last Days." But * as Anti-Christ is delicious irony.
Witnessing the Bush-bots realizing THAT, would almost be worth the tribulation.

11. Exactly. In today's stage, I would say that Bush most epitomizes
the anti-Christ. Unless the anti-Christ was suppose to play a more, behind the scenes, covert role. In which case, Cheney, Rove or Jim Baker would fit the role.

5. The problem being that there are many more like him out there
Some one has taught him this and it is pervasive doctrine throughout the bible belt.

Just as a side note his son attends ORU in Tulsa.

I'm afraid to even post this as it may open the rest of us up to an attack due to their beliefs!

10. Just as another side note:
When discussing the seperation of church state issue he says that the founders didn't mean to separate the church from being within the government but was ment to keep the government out of religion, his religion of course.

"Evolution has been disproven over and over again"

He's too far gone to even discuss this too much more without sending him into the stratosphere with my progressive thoughts.

14. Makes me wonder if there IS a real problem with...
our public education system. Critical thinking does not seem to be a priority.

There certainly is a problem with far too many of our churches pushing this sort of nonsense. Not much critical thinking there at all.

16. If you understand the concept of the anti-Christ, it ain't OBL, it's BUSH
Edited on Mon Apr-24-06 07:29 AM by Atman
The anti-Christ will not manifest himself in the form of Satan, because then we'd know he was Satan, or the anti-Christ. He manifests himself, or so the fairy tale goes, in the form of a benevolent leader (Bush) who is loved and revered (or was and could be argues, still is!). Therefore, you might want to let your Bible thumping friend know that if he really believes in the idea of an anti-Christ, he'd better watch out who he's cheering for in this Battle To End All Battles.

19. you are correct
The anti christ will claim to love jesus ect, but he does the exact opposite of what christ teaches, he does not feed the poor, he does not help the sick, he does not seek peace, he seeks war, on top of all this he shovels money to the rich and drains the treasury of the peoples money

Furthermore the anti christ will be a very powerful person known to all the world. The president of the United States is the most powerful person on the planet and he is stripping all the checks and balances on presidential power, so that today he can almost openly wiretap any of his political enemies and nobody(but one dear man from Wisconsin) will challenge him on it.
