What Would Al (or Kerry) Do? IRAN
I mention these two because they were the last two candidates.

Put Al Gore in the international word game going on now with IRAN.

Or Kerry?

I just had a brief encounter with a idiot freeper who commented, " I'm just glad Kerry isn't in the white house now - we'd all be screwed" (because of Iran)

1. I don't know, but
the first Dem candidate to come out with a viable plan (not just, "I can do better than Bush), is probably a shoo-in to the White House.

2. I hope you shot back "if Kerry was in the WH, there would be no issue"
Wingnuts are so gullible. Everything is literally a crusade for them, black and white and dualistic, and any devience is tantamount to treason. There is a capital T Truth, and they have the monopoly on it. They have God's ear, and God tells them that their hatemongering, oversimplified logic is peachy keen. Under Kerry, Iraq would probably have been solved diplomatically, as would any Iranian issue, and neither would have been a blip on the radar screen. Or, the status quo would have been retained. If these dipshits could see one inch--just one inch--past their noses...

3. If we hadn't attacked Iraq for dubious reasons the Iranians ...
might not be so hell bent on getting the bomb. Who can blame them when the country next store is attacked for having WMD and it later turns out that it's all a pack of lies and they don't and never did have them.
One would not be unreasonable in assuming that if Saddam had the bomb he'd never have been attacked. Furthermore now that it's been revealed that the American's knew before hand that Saddam did not have WMD's that, that fact may well have been the deciding factor in whether to attack or not. Weakness invites attack and strength deters it.

4. If Gore had been decided in 12/2000, we would not have had the
9/11 attacks . . . OBL would have been laughing his ass off watching Faux News covering the "2nd American Revolution" as the "Patriots" who backed Bush were surrounding the White House demanding that the "real winner" of the 2000 Selection be installed . . . and Sandy D. O'C. would have been one of the first lynched . . .

5. they would have talked to Iran 3 years ago

Iran was more than willing to cooperate back then. That being said, considering they are at least 3 years away from the bomb, this would be just another diplomatic issue within the UN.
