What is "Drive-By Media"? |
|
I was tuning around the radio and landed twice on the Limpballs show and heard the phrase, "Drive-By Media."
Is this some new talking point meme from KKKarl? I'm not even sure I understand what it means.

1. I think it means that they don't stop to consider a whole issue |
|
they just report what they see as they drive by.
Yes this is surely straight from the White House. It appears, to me, to be a change from the "liberal media" whine that has so effective over the years.

2. Wonder if his girlfriend on CNN knows that is what he thinks of her |
|
journalism? Wonder how many bags she has worn out by putting them over his head during their intimate moments?
I look at that stupid phrase of his "Drive-by media" as reporting that doesn't have all the facts before it's printed and put out there. Could be wrong but just my opinion.

Limpballs been pushing drive by media for awhile. Makes no sense to me either. Another gimmick for Bush apologists to avoid the reality Bush is not a real leader.

7. In that case maybe I'll start calling his show, "Drive To A Drug Dealer" |
|
media. Or "Drive To Three Or Four Docs A Day For Oxy" media.

6. BS from Jeff Christy ... |
|
"(H)ere's what the mainstream media are. They are drive-by shooters. This is exactly what they are. They pull up to a congested area; they spray a hail of bullets into the crowd, causes mass hysteria, mass confusion, mistakes and misinterpretation. Sometimes people or their careers actually die. The mainstream media then smirks and pats itself on the back, says, "Look what we can do," and they ride away unnoticed in the excitement. They are never blamed; they are never held accountable. In fact, they are lauded, they are held up as heroes, mostly by themselves. But they are. They just troll around looking for any issue they can to get everybody all worked up, creating hysteria. It is like a drive-by shooter. It's like road rage every day. That's what the mainstream press has become.
Every time they do this, every time they pull up to one of these congested areas and spray a hail of bullets into the crowd, somebody's gotta mop up the mess that they caused. And at the same time the mess is being cleaned up, the mainstream media is back flying down the highway with the top down laughing and looking for the next bunch of victims to spray their bullets into. This is repeated over and over and over."http://www.lifelikepundits.com/archives/002347.php

12. The context was about the Mary O. McCarthy story, that the "drive-by media" |
|
would be sympathetic to her and make excuses for her. (Of course, no mention about *Co leaking Plame etc. to the media, apparently that's OK.) All I can figure is "drive-by" is something we're not supposed to like and is equated with anything negative to *Co.
This definition by Christy is interesting, I suppose, but still not terribly clear. Full of all kinds of metaphor. And it does not seem to be how PigBoy is using it.

I can remember a time when guys like Limbaugh used to criticize the media by calling it "Jew-run" rather than liberal. Then again, if the media did pay more attention to stories, perhaps the contents of one certain blowhard's Florida medicine cabinets would be public by now. So, to a sense, I agree the media doesn't do enough. You think Bush would have gotten away with this much had he been dating Angelina Jolie?

10. They better hope the media continues their Drive-by tactics |
|
Heaven forbid the media get the real news out there. We might even impeach bush if they got the real info, in depth, and daily.
