1. Cavity searching is largely a myth
Edited on Tue Jan-10-06 05:16 PM by Caution
A modern cavity search consists of spreading one's legs and squatting while naked. A strip search is basically a search conducted by requiring the searchee to strip to nothing. So in this context most strip searches will include a cavity search but not in the movie latex glove up your anus manner.

On Edit: Wikipedia has a pretty good article on cavity searches:

3. I work for U.S. Customs & Border Protection....
...there has been reform (thank God) in this area over the last few years. A cavity search is only done in a medical facility by physicians, and there has to be one damn good positive reason to even think of doing one. The same applies to a strip search, and then only one article of clothing is removed at a time, then put back on before the next article is removed....it's a lot better now than it was in the old days thanks to organizations like the ACLU.

2. Its A Game
The game is called power. Nobody's got a gun, knife, or sword up their ass. There is no danger to a police officer involved.

If you're a police officer its a game in which I play drop the drawers and you play find the contraband. I don't get to do anything and you get to look everywhere.

I think that pretty much sums it up.
