thinking about all the people I know just like the clintons, so willing to sell us out on just about anything. Yeah, this ole hippy has become somewhat of a cynic, the hairs still long, but the mind and heart have hardened.

Are Arabs terrorists?
Are women inferior?
Are French people smelly?
Are Germans cold?

Are Americans stupid?

Let's not colour the world with prejudicial idiocy.

87. If I recall ...
correctly;), I was a hippy and actually have grown a bit more hippy . Every day I juggle what I feel in my heart what is right and doing what is right. I recyle as much as I can, drive as little as I have to, had only 1 child, etc. Up until 6 years ago, I thought I would leave the world a better place. Funny how quickly it can turn to shit. Even saddier that someone from my could be allowed to bring us so close to the brink of destruction....and for what?

49. I wish I could have been a hippie. I was born in 39. Hung out with
the few other intellectuals in high school, but that ended in 1956.

When we got to the 1970s, I was already a divorced mother of two.

I had stepkids who were hippies, though. I don't have anything to do with two of them anymore. (Their choice, not mine.)

She asks me why
I'm just a hairy guy
I'm hairy noon and night
Hair that's a fright
I'm hairy high and low
Don't ask me why
Don't know
It's not for lack of break
Like the Grateful Dead
Darling

Gimme head with hair
Long beautiful hair
Shining, gleaming,
Streaming, flaxen, waxen

Give me down to there hair
Shoulder length or longer
Here baby, there mama
Everywhere daddy daddy

Hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair
Flow it, show it
Long as God can grow it
My hair

Let it fly in the breeze
And get caught in the trees
Give a home to the fleas in my hair
A home for fleas
A hive for bees
A nest for birds
There ain't no words
For the beauty, the splendor, the wonder
Of my...

Hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair
Flow it, show it
Long as God can grow it
My hair

I want it long, straight, curly, fuzzy
Snaggy, shaggy, ratty, matty
Oily, greasy, fleecy
Shining, gleaming, streaming
Flaxen, waxen
Knotted, polka-dotted
Twisted, beaded, braided
Powdered, flowered, and confettied
Bangled, tangled, spangled, and spaghettied!

Oh say can you see
My eyes if you can
Then my hair's too short

Down to here
Down to there
Down to where
It stops by itself

They'll be ga ga at the go go
When they see me in my toga
My toga made of blond
Brilliantined
Biblical hair

My hair like Jesus wore it
Hallelujah I adore it
Hallelujah Mary loved her son
Why don't my mother love me?

Hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair
Flow it, show it
Long as God can grow it
My hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair
Flow it, show it
Long as God can grow it
My hair

92. Oooh, oooh, remember starched crinolines? Full skirts? Gloves?
Tight sweaters? Bobby sox? White buck shoes?

Then, the Jackie Kennedy look. A line dresses. Pill box hats. Elegant women's suits.

College (1963 - 1965) was Kingston Trio look, preppy clothes, pleated skirts, slacks still not allowed on campus.

Then it started to change. Jeans, T-shirts, long hair, etc.

But, at the same time was the "Mod" look. Short skirts, psychedelic colors, and pantyhose were invented. Slacks not allowed at the office.

Ah yes, the "good old days".

at the lake & everywhere else. They were easy to clean because I could use bleach which I couldn't do on blue jeans. Unless I was intentionally trying to fade them, which we also did. Jeans didn't come in bleached or stone washed back then.

My Niece goes to Oxford and this is the patio area at the pub where no inhalation took place.

54. Ah, remember the good old days?!
Back when elections weren't rigged, you could get a job that sorta pays good, your phone calls weren't tapped, terrorism was actually thwarted in the USA, wars weren't done for nothing but profit (ok, not so sure about THAT one!)...

Probably were on their way to the record store to pick up a copy of The Beatles "white album."

"Listen to this one, Hillary. 'Why don't we do it in the road...'"

63. I remember going 7 months without cutting the hair
after doing my 2-year Army thing (drafted). Never got as long as Bill's, but then I had NO HAIR when I started my barber boycott.

allergy to smoke. She tried to smoke pot, but couldn't inhale it, she tried, but the choking and coughing and burning were too much. I believe him, because I saw someone with extreme allergies TRY to smoke pot, but she couldn't even inhale it. D ; )

100. There's a big difference
between being a "hippie" and being a college student.

come on. Hippies lived in communes, tuned in, turned on and dropped out.

College students with bad hair who occasionally smoked dope were not hippies.
