I think he'd win.

For some unknown reason, too many people believe the crap that Republicans peddle. Americans were buying into right-wing propaganda long before 9/11 scared them into gobbling it up by the ton.

Why can't people make the connection between their own personal freedoms, and what would happen to them with the likes of Alito on the Supreme Court? I don't have much respect for the overall intelligence of the American public, but there has to be a line where even the dumbest wingnut says, "enough."

Then again, maybe the banjo playing kid on the porch in "Deliverance" was representative of far too many voters. The Republicans seem to think so.

4. Supreme Court judges are NOT elected...
... so why waste the time wondering "what if???" AIN'T GONNA' HAPPEN. And Bush will not be impeached and "Scalito" will take the post on the SCOTUS. All this will happen because for WHATEVER reason, the Rs are the majority in the Executive and Legislative branches. And until we hold a two thirds majority in the aforesaid branches, nothing at all will change. Get used to it and get to work pounding the pavement. Politics starts at home... and not with daydreams.
