Official: Bush orders halt of oil deliveries to national strategic reserve
(White House-AP) April 25, 2006 - A senior administration official says President Bush has decided to temporarily halt deposits to the nation's strategic petroleum reserve.

The goal is to make more oil available for consumers.

4. Actually the action of stopping it is more telling

Not knowing how high the bull market on oil is going to go we are now saying, "Oh, let's not hold any oil back"

5. The fact that we have to stop filling the SPR for this just goes to
further highlight how tight supplies are getting. It is mostly a symbolic statement anyway...what is going into the SPR is a "drop in the barrel" if you will.

Last year we hit $3, this year we'll hit $4. Make no mistake about it.

I sound less crazy every day. Unfortunately, I wish I wasn't right, since we aren't doing a damn thing of significance about our growing lack of of energy.

Been trying to buy a piece of property, but now I'm wondering if I should wait until the real estate market tanks.
