Anyone Watch FSTV OR Democracy Now Today??? |
|
They're having their Spring Fund Raiser and I've been watching and re-watching. Amy Goodman is just soooooooo GREAT! Even still, while the station covers so many diverse issues, I find myself getting more and more worked up!
Antonia Juhasz's book about how The Bushies (Bremer, et al) and how they are micro-managing Iraq even today makes my blood boil!! She states they DID have a plan about the war, one that MOST of us here believe in, but just listening to her talk about it is infuriating!
They also covered The Peace Patriots and talked about the fact that unless We The People get out and MARCH much less will get done. The Repukes have begun to "take-over" the immigration issue, and call for value added taxes for Oil Companies... so once again trying to make themselves look like thee true leaders!
I could go on and on, just wondering why we aren't Marching More! I know this week-end New York is planning to march, but I think we need to do MUCH MUCH more of this. It's been a mantra of mine and I know many here think it's useless, but I'm not one of them.

5. I Have Dish Network Too... Don't KNOW What I Would |
|
do without it! I can barely watch the "regular" stuff! While I enjoy Cafferty & Olbermann, THEY are about the only reason that I even check CNN or MSNBC out.
I'm glad my husband talked me into getting the DISH! I was so concerned about reception, but during all the hurricanes we had in Florida the past couple of years, I was completely surprised that DISH came through when Comcast or the locals went off the air!!
I know if I miss Democracy Now LINK I can catch it at FSTV! But today the coverage was terribly informative!
It's too bad that a lot of this news IS NOT covered by MSM! America would look so different if it was!

now and then. Never had a problem with reception. I know I can count on FSTV and LINK to tell it like it is.

8. No N'orEaster's Here!! We Haven't Even Had Rain |
|
since FOREVER!! Last rain I saw was around Feb. and even then not enough to even mention. And I LIVE about a mile from the Gulf of Mexico!!
Tropical weather is "seasonal" now!! All I see most of the time is SUN! Trying so hard NOT to turn my AC on, but it's getting pretty HOT! Trying to do my job of not wasting ENERGY! I sure wish I could go solar right now! Had lots of overhead this year and my house isn't new, so it would take "mucho dinero!"
We didn't even have WINTER! Mostly we have only 2 seasons, Spring & Summer! Solar should be the "norm" around here, but NOT!
Kind of off subject, but DISH has been GREAT! Just watching FSTV regarding the COST of OUR invasion!! Sickening how we destroyed a country so Big Oil & Big Corporations could MONOPOLIZE!
It's really offensive, and I need to get Antonia's book! She sure brought forth some enlightening facts. I was unaware of how Kissinger was involved too!

7. What was also great was the news out of Nepal. The protesters were |
|
a mixed group and they succeeded (if you don't count 14 deaths and many injuries).
Hooray for Amy and Juan and all their guests.
We can learn.

9. Yes, And THEY Were Protesting!! |
|
This is my point! I live in Cruella's District and it's so hard to get ANYTHING started here, but we have done some here. But mostly the meetings I go to are just "pep talks" with no teeth! Go to one and then they propose another meeting to go to.
I want ACTION! I will travel... I went to D.C. and would love to see more local protests. I wish Florida had more that I could join with. Traveling a long way can get expensive!
