Poll question: Do you think * really wants to quit this job?
Sometimes it seems like he really hates being president. There are days where it looks to me like he would prefer to go home to Crawford and never come out again. He strikes me as a little boy who throws a fit when he has to eat spinach. He only does something when he's forced to. I can almost see Laura or Rover standing over his shoulder making sure he's doing his homework.

Been thinking about his since sitting with my seven year old as he did his homework. He got tired and wanted to quit.

1. It's too important to W to be a 2-term prez for him to quit.
He has to beat daddy at something, and he'll do anything
to stay in office until the bitter end.

Just my observation.

3. He'll just keep upping his medication and as long as he stays one
milligram ahead of reality, nothing else will matter to him.

4. I remember in 2001 threatening the staff he's going home! Cartman style:
"Screw you guys, I.m going heume!"
Then 911 came. I am not discounting the possibility.

He thinks he's the greatest president ever. He won't walk away from power.

8. Bush thinks so much of his presidential expertise
He probably believes that the American people (his handlers) are about to ask him to run again in 2008. He is the one who has been "divorced from reality" for the last six years.

11. $400,000 a year to sign a paper now and then, answer a couple
phone calls, sit in some boring ass teleconference calls until it's time to go ride a bike. Eat first class food every single meal, get carted around to wherever the hell you want to go, when you want to go. Have your own private pool, movie theatre, bowling alley, pool hall, ----747----, tailored suits (new) for every event, helicopter rides, best medical care on earth, a personal battalion of suckups and yes-men, daddy's friends in every major position around you making sure that you're safe so they can go off and do whatever they do and you don't care so long as you're in bed by nine and someone else is taping 24.

You think he wants to quit THAT?

14. It's a truism about incompetent people...
that they rate their own job performance better than those who observe them. So of course dubya thinks he's doing a good job.

a fortune off all this crap. Anyone know how? What are they invested in? What stock do they own? Something is going on but I just can't find any details.

Because of his pride. Even if he knows in his gut that he has made a huge mess, he won't quit. He'll press on and hope like hell things get better.

21. Busholini is on a Mission From God.
He may get tired at times and take a vacation but he will "stay the course" because God has told him that it is his destiny to bring "freedom" to the world.

23. If he quits for "health" reasons, it would look a lot better than if he
were almost impeached and/or goes down as the worst President in history. I think he will quit if he really thinks there will be even a real investigation of him and his cabal.
