You Know Why RWers Hate Clinton...? |
|
Because he proves all their rhetoric to be just that. All the shit they tried piling on Dems for the past 30 years was debunked by Bill. They tried to get him on anything, and came up with a sex scandal. That scandal looks like a fairytale now compared to the scumbaggery we see with the GOP.

All Americans were doing better.

Way in the dark recesses of their reptile brains, the wingers see that Clinton represents everything they aren't. He's the kid who, in high school, was the popular guy; the captain of the football team who all the girls wanted. He cut class and didn't turn in his homework on time but never got in trouble because he was so smart and charming he could B.S. his way out of anything. He got laid while they were fiddling with their slide rules and running the projectors in Audio Visual Club.
Years later Clinton was still getting laid while these same thin-lipped, pasty, pudgy guys looked on, wracked with envy and disapproval. Clinton is hot; they're not. And they never could stand it.

13. Here's why I think the right wingers hate Bill Clinton... |
|
Edited on Tue Apr-25-06 09:31 PM by mtnsnake
He was an instant sex symbol with the ladies, and thus they saw him as a threat to their faux conservative manhood.
He was from a different generation than the neocon good-ole-boys, and he brought that generation gap with him to politics.
He had good looks, charm, and charisma.
In other words, he's everything they're not.
The right wingers all would love to be just like Clinton, but they know they never could be. They'll hate him to the ends of their miserable lives for that!

14. I think that's pretty astute. |
|
Clinton not only ignored articles of republican faith, he proved them wrong. Remember when Dick Armey and others predicted a recession to follow Clinton's tax hike on the rich? Eight years of expansion followed: the rich did so well that the peanuts of the tax hike meant nothing to them.
And on and on. There's a million examples. Clinton was so good he made it look easy, so easy many people felt we could manage to throw him out just to show that we were against blowjobs and immaterial lies under oath, so easy many people felt that any old cokehead dummy could handle the job, so easy that many people underestimated the damage a single, driven lawless sociopath could do in the job. Now that it is obvious the job is too big for just any dope, they hate Clinton even more.
Moreover, Clinton interrupted the ideologues' march of history, beginning in the Reagan Revolution. Maybe the era of big government was over, but it was hardly a conservative government. The interregnum between republicans was an offense against nature and history, if not God hisself.
All in all, republicans found Clinton as abhorrent as a three headed calf, as they could neither tolerate it or understand it, that is, if the calf turned out to be smarter and more competent than any republican.

Invariably, they say something like, 'presidents have very little impact on the economy... it just has cycles'.

21. I think everything about Clinton flies in the face of their Strict Father, |
|
Authoritarian framework.
Things only make sense to them if the law is laid down and everything is black and white.
Clinton was a living, breathing, paradoxical human being.
Everything was supposed to fall apart if there weren't a hierarchical set of rules laid down and followed strictly.
Not only did things not fall apart, but they really went quite nicely.
