Could Alito Be Voted Down In Committee?
Is is possible that Alito's nomination may not even get to the full Senate for a vote or continued debate in avoidance of a vote?

These are strange times.

2. I think so too
Who on the republican side would vote with the democrats? How many votes would it take to defeat him in the committee? Who on the committee who is a republican would listen to massive people voicing concerns? I'll do anything at this point!!!

3. He could, but I doubt it. Every Pub Senator I've heard so far
seemed to be on Alito's side, and since there's 10 Pube and 8 or 9 Dems on the committee, I doubt it will happen. The only possibility I can see is that Alito seemed to say he'd respect Stari Decisis on Roe. If THAT scares enough of the RW and they start screaming to their Senators, that could change the picture.

8. I doubt it.
If there was even a whisper about such an occurence, thugs from the WH would be there in a flash, twisting arms.
