Just how tangled up in the
GOP Culture of Corruption is Richard Pombo?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Representative Pombo has a very cozy relationship with the GOP Leadership.
Pombo has taken $1,000 from House Majority Leader John Boehner.
Pombo has taken $1,000 from GOP Whip Roy Blunt.
Pombo received $4,000 from GOP Whip Roy Blunt's "Rely on Your Beliefs" PAC.
Pombo voted with President Bush 86% of the time.
Pombo voted the GOP party line 96% of the time.
Why do you think Pombo is just rubber stamping the Republican agenda?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

How tied up is Representative Pombo with the Tom DeLay/Jack Abramoff scandal? Pombo has taken:
$5,020 from Tom DeLay's ARMPAC.
$7,500 from convicted DeLay associate Jack Abramoff.
$1,250 from Abramoff associate and former DeLay staffer Tony Rudy.
$1,000 from Abramoff associate and former Bob Ney chief of staff Neil Volz.
With all of these ties to the DeLay/Abramoff mess, is it any surprise that Pombo has:
Voted to weaken House ethics rules when DeLay proposed doing so as GOP Majority Leader.
Voted with Tom DeLay 91% of the time.
Is Representative Pombo serving California voters, or the Republican money machine?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Representative Pombo has disturbing ties to disgraced and convicted former Congressman Randy "Duke" Cunningham. Pombo has taken:
$2,000 from "Duke's" PAC.

3. Good question by WJ...
Will the people unite behind the "new" leader? Again? I'm not real optimistic.

8. NO!
Just like all the other "TURNING POINTS" in Iraq, this is just another blind alley. How many events that have come to pass and gone, in Iraq, that were being billed as "Turning Points," have stopped the killing? Bush's POLITICAL promises are hot air.
