An Apology From me To "the early show" on CBS!
Edited on Wed Apr-26-06 09:28 AM by MarianJack
Here on DU, we tend to nail cnn, faux, "today", etc,.

We frequently leave CBS's daily morning fest of bush/gop glorification. I'm about to remedy that.

cbs has several things to recommend it for consideration as the biggest bush ass kiss broadcast on the air.

Some brief lowlights of the on air "journalist's" styles include:

1 Harry Smith and his "OH BOY...GEE WHIZ" style of interviewing right wing hacks pushing white house/rnc talking points.

2 Hannah Storm's way of letting TOTALLY nonsensical statements go without question or comment. My 2 favorite instances were her letting an official from the department of homeland security get away with recommending we have candles and flashlights for when we lose electricity in the "bird flu pandemic" and then cautioning us to have plenty of DVDs handy to keep the kids occupied. She also (yesterday) let some talking head get away with commenting that we couldn't question the idiot in chief's "integrity" in his concern for the gas price gouging. Of course, Hannah never lets the opportunity to gush over any white house spokesperson!

3 Their weatherman, Dave Price, just returned from IRAQ and has been doing reports about the rw talking point about how the media isn't covering "all the good things" going on in IRAQ.

This morning, they had a woman from AOL on talking about web sites where we can find "cheaper" gas in our neighborhood. I, for one, refuse to run from place to place so I can wait in an 70's & 80's style gas line. I'm being gouged either way.

A few examples, but we focus on all the other networks so much, we tend to leave out the one network that caved to the right for broadcasting a true story in September of 2004. For that, I apologize to cbs. I won't forget them in the future.

That means she has THREE functioning limbs! But do the doom-and-gloom liberals ever tell you that??? No, all they can talk about is that missing arm. That's stinking liberals for you.

I don't like tuna and I only have a hand held can opener!

I'm also not putting anything under my bed other than my shoes.

I guess I hate America!

8. No. 2 made me LOL!
I can't stand ANY of their morning "personalities" especially Hand Job Hannah. Remember her oh-so-objective interview of Michael Moore? Hell one of them is married to Les Moonves or has she retired?
