When was the last terror alert? There were SO many leading up to the election. FEAR FEAR FEAR. Now nothing.
When will the next one be? Is it still too far away from the midterm elections? I'm betting mid August.

1. The ports deal made 'pukes look weak on homeland security. |
|
And, now they can't pull it together on border issues, either. Will Karl really want to play the terror card, anymore?

the shrubby McWarhardon is killing them over there so they won't kill us over here. It will be harder to blame on Clinton, although I wouldn't put it past them to try

Smirky's image for providing a blanket of security. I love it.
In fact that whole Hu visit was a total fiasco for Smirky's image. Just beautiful. Keep up the good work shithead.

4. What happened with the Miami terminal yesterday? |

I think there will be a smattering of little things like that to keep us edgy, then a big one in June as they ramp up for the attack on Iran/fall elections.

6. If Osama really wanted to damage Bush and our economy... |
|
Edited on Wed Apr-26-06 11:01 AM by IanDB1
He would exploit known and highly publicized weaknesses in Bush's policies.
Port security: Ship a "dirty bomb" through one or more ports and detonate them simultaneously. It would be important to get the shipping containers OUT of the port, so it is clear that they actually cleared customs before being detonated.
Border security: Sneak vehicles and troops across the border to occupy a small American town. Attack border guard outposts.
Food safety: e. Coli, Mad Cow... the possibilities are endless.
Now, keep in mind that a "dirty bomb" isn't really a weapon of mass murder. It is a weapon of financial disruption. However, detonating a dirty bomb would force a mass-evacuation of an urban area.
And we all know how well this administration handles mass-evacuations of urban areas.
And all of these attacks would not only create massive financial losses in the short term, but would also create financial virtual attrition in the long-term.
By attacking through the borders, America would be forced to actually secure them. That would create a loss of illegal immigrant labor, thus casting a chill on major American industries that exploit them.
This is the sort of thing that I think the terrorists will try-- to exploit areas where Bush has demonstrated willful negligence, and to exploit problems that will be expensive for us to fix.
