Brian Williams & NBC News needs to get off the air.....
Edited on Wed Apr-26-06 06:04 PM by BooScout
Because they sure as shit aren't reporting the news. Did anyone else just see how they closed their broadcast???

After promoing their parent company movie Flight 93's premier they closed with the fact that that flight, the Pentagon and WTC were the reason we are at war.

WTF? WTF? WTF?

My husband and I just sat here with our mouths open saying "Did he just say what I thought he said?"

1. That makes no sense whatsoever. But, this is...
Defense contractor GE, so any reason to justify war is good for them.

2. Brian, the GOP "go to" guy, praised by GOP pollster Frank Luntz
for his lack of "detectable" ideological bias.

Brian is bad news, always has been. He just hides it better than many.

I typed them about a minute after I heard them. Cold be one or two words different but that was the gist of it. Pisses me off.

I always watch NBC Nightly News....there are times when Brian Williams sounds just like a conservative, but other times, it's as if he read DU that day to see what the big stories were. Tonight, for example, he led off with the Rove story and emphasized it a lot.

After Hurricane Katrina, he made a promise to the people of New Orleans...that he would not let the story of Katrina die. No other network has done half as many stories on New Orleans and the Gulf Coast as NBC since Katrina. As long as he keeps N.O. in the spotlight, he is pretty OK in my book.

9. Just sent NBC a nasty email about this.
Called them idiots. And stupid. Unfortunately, my husband's job involves selling GE products. He tries to direct his clients to similar products made by other companies, but can't always do so. I hate it when he comes home after a big GE sale and is depressed. He's even won several sales "awards" given by them. They all go to either the local homeless shelter or, if monetary, to Democratic candidates.

Assholes. idiots.

10. Folks, I think he was talking about the 'War on Terror'
not necessarily the war in Iraq.

11. The "war on terror" is part of the big lie too.
Not much of a distinction.

12. BS.....
If he meant War on Terror (which is a big fat joke btw) then he should have said so. He meant the war in Iraq. Piss poor journalism.

13. Sigh. Whatever you say
Far be it for me to dispute your resolute conviction that Brian Williams is part of the vast right wing conspiracy.
