Until recently is was just rumored that the rethugs wanted someone else to run for the Florida Senate. Now they openly express fears Harris will adversely impact other GOP races. Jeb Bush gave tacit endorsement yesterday to someone who hasn't even announced candidacy yet.....

"I know there are a lot of people encouraging him to run. He's just a great leader and an excellent person ... He would be a great United States senator, but that's up to him," Bush said.

Sabato said one of the races that could be affected is the re-election bid of Rep. Clay Shaw, a Fort Lauderdale Republican who is facing a stiff challenge from Democrat Ron Klein in District 22. If Harris dampens the Republican vote in that Palm Beach County district, it could be the difference in unseating Shaw, Sabato said.

Dem Nelson leads Harris more than 2 to 1 in the latest polls.

The polls show the difficulty Harris faces. A Strategic Vision poll released Wednesday shows Harris would lose big to Nelson. Nelson would get 56 percent, and Harris 24 percent, according to the Republican polling firm. The Georgia-based firm conducted its poll of 1,200 voters last weekend. It has a margin of error of +/- 3 percent.

Come on darlin', you can do it. Just pump some more of Daddy's money into that campaign. Maybe make another infomercial with Hannity. Sweet talk a few cub reporters here and there.

This woman is too indispensible to be forced out of the race at this point. We need to do everything possible to keep radioacitive unelectable candidates at the top of State tickets. A Harris candidacy in the fall elections could equate to a 2 or 3 seat pickup for Dems in the Florida delegation. We really need more like her in other States. Why waste money contributing to Democratic shoo-ins when these discredited pariahs are worth their weight in gold? Keep them alive, but just barely. Give til it HURTS!
