Republican Pollster Rasmussen has Bush Approval at Just 38%: Lowest Ever
Edited on Thu Apr-27-06 04:52 PM by louis c
Rasmussen has George W. bush at a 38% approval and a 61% disapproval rate. These numbers are the lowest ever measured by Rasmussen.

In addition, only 18% strongly approve of the President while a whopping 45% strongly disapprove.

More over, in a generic make-up of a 2008 presidential race, the Repukes trail the Dems by 12 points and finish a distant third if a hypothetical third party is included.

These numbers should send shutters through the White House, considering a 33% approval at Fox News and now a Repuke leaning pollster shows a confirming poll.

PS. I'm sorry if this was already posted. I just came home from work.

1. I generally like to object to the vilification of Rasmussen

In 2004 he proved that he is one of the most accurate pollsters in the country.

Nearly half the country is Republican, and that doesn't disqualify them from fields like this.

I think the fact that one of the most accurate pollsters of 2004 is showing his approval so much down the shitter is the real story to come out of this.

2. Just because Rasmussen was closest to the "official" results
in 2004 doesn't mean they are the most accurate. it's been proven time and again that the official results were wrong.

3. Remember that Rasmussen pushes for an answer
his numbers always add up to 100% (or 99% because of "rounding"). If you compare his numbers to Fox, which were 33% to 57% you can see that the undecided, if split equally, add up to just about the same figure.

This president is one bad story away from the twenties. F*cken 20%. Even Nixon didn't get that low.

The Port deal broke his base and made Repukes understand that they could be against him. Then the war worsened, the Generals speaking out was huge, boarder security cut into his base even deeper. But the last straw is gas prices with huge profits for the oil companies. He can no longer blame anyone but himself. He's dead in the water.
