Pubs ban hats as they hide faces from CCTV Cameras
A PUB chain has barred elderly gents from wearing their trilby hats — as part of the war on HOODIES.

Brewer Greene King claims the brims hide wearers’ faces from CCTV cameras at its 800 premises.

Staff are under orders to treat punters with trilbies the same as hoodie yobs — and deny service to those who refuse to remove them.

Great-grandad Colin Osborne, 64, blew his top when a barmaid ordered him to take off his trilby at The Monument pub in Hereford.

'Chav'...my latest Brit slang term I picked up in London over xmas:

chav

Noun. A person, usually of working class origin, generally poorly educated, often very casually dressed in sportswear (hoodie) and wearing vulgar jewellery (bling). Derog.

Steer clear of ol' Colin here!!!

5. The Sun is being very hypocritical
but what do you expect from a Murdoch newspaper?

Predictably perhaps, The Sun was vociferously in support of Blair's simplistic stance on yobbish behaviour, all the way down to supporting the ban on "hoodies" at Bluewater.

So they support banning hoodies in a shopping mall, but not hats in a pub?

Of course, a gentleman removes his hat indoors anyway. Look, I can be snobbish about people who wear trilbies indoors, just the same way The Sun looks down on anyone wearing a hoodie. If you think people have to take their hoods off, they you should think they should take hats off too. Anything less is classist wankery.

6. Don't laugh, that shit is starting over here
Can't walk into any local bank with a hoodie, helmet, stocking cap, etc. on. It will start spreading to other places of business next. Geez, I just love being treated like a criminal:eyes:
