Airwaves Battle on Air Force One

By Ken Herman | Thursday, April 27, 2006, 03:21 PM

The controversy du jour aboard Air Force One today was one near and dear to the hearts of many otherwise happy couples: Command and control of the TV tuner.

“It’s come to my attention that there’s been requests – this is a serious question – to turn these TVs on to a station other than Fox, and that those have been denied,” Washington Post reporter Jim VandeHei told Press Secretary Scott McClellan. “My question would be, is there a White House policy that all government TVs have to be tuned to Fox?”

“Never heard of any such thing,” said McClellan, soon to be replaced by Tony Snow of Fox News, long viewed as an operation that enjoys most favored network status in the Bush White House.

1. IF that's true, they're more fools than I thought!
Even if FOX supports the admn position on most things, they really need to hear what the rest of the wold is saying too.

5. My Post Office in Denville NJ has it on always
And when I go in there I complain LOUDLY as to why extreme right wing tv with only a propaganda view is paid for by the White House is always on. I never get an answer from behind the desk but the Postmaster has said it's "what people want" and walks away.

Shit, now that is very, very scary. And I can't believe that's what they really "want."

10. George Buxh has a 32% approval rating because he only represents
32% of America.

From his open allegience to Fox News to his derisive label of "Taxachusetts", he's always been clear that he's not the leader of anyone to the left of Sean Hannity.

His divisive politix have been evident from the very beginning and he's never hinted that his policy holds anything for those other than the most extreme right wing of these once united states.

He's not my president.
