The conservative radio commentator came into the jail at about 4 p.m. with his attorney Roy Black and bonded out an hour later on a $3,000 bail, Barbera said. The warrant was for fraud to conceal information to obtain prescription, Barbera said.

Black said his client and authorities reached a settlement on a single count charge of doctor shopping filed Friday by the State Attorney will be dismissed in 18 months.

Prosecutors seized Limbaugh's records after learning that he received about 2,000 painkillers, prescribed by four doctors in six months, at a pharmacy near his Palm Beach mansion. They contend that Limbaugh engaged in "doctor shopping," or illegally deceived multiple doctors to receive overlapping prescriptions.

Limbaugh has not been charged and maintains he's innocent. He has acknowledged he became addicted to pain medication, blaming it on severe back pain, and took a five-week leave from his radio show to enter a rehabilitation program in 2003.........

22. But this is something I completely fail to understand. In a plea bargain,

the perp PLEADS guilty to something, in return for lighter or no sentence, and the guilty plea is part of the record.

Here, in exchange for a relatively small fine, dude gets charges dropped entirely.

Why would they bother to bring him in at all, instead of just dropping the charge, if their position is the charge has no merit? It stinks to high heaven.

Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office says Rush Limbaugh has been arrested on prescription fraud charges.

Conservative Radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh is booked into the Palm Beach County jail Friday evening.

News 12 has pulled court documents that show Limbaugh is charged with Fraud and concealing information in order to get a prescription .

Those court documents show Limbaugh was arrested by PBSO and is being held on a very low bond of $3,000.

A deal was made. One charge made by the DA. Rush has 18 months to sweat out, not commit any crimes, basically be a good boy. At the end of 18 months of good behavior, the one charge will be dropped.
