1. Nope ...
... no idea. But then I'd have to say the same thing about a lot of our 'elected officials' these days ...

2. That little slime bucket and his butt buddy, Grahm,
are beyond understanding. There's not a single thuglican, in house or senate, worth visiting in prison.

3. At one point he got elected
because the Democrat he was running against was a fellow named Roger Bedford, a state senator from Franklin County, Alabama. He was in remission from cancer, if I recall correctly, and Sessions' people used that against him. Could be wrong, but I remember hearing that.

In a party that is chock-a-block full-to-overflowing with dumber-than-dirt members, Jeff Sessions may, quietly, mind you, be closing in on the coveted title of "dumbest-damned-republican-ever-to-breathe-air."

:wtf:

9. Roger Bedford...

And if I recall correctly, Mr. Bedford was sort of an unethical professional politician that was charged with extortion. He was found not guilty, but I think it was sort of a Richard Scrushy/OJ Simpson kind of not guilty. IMHO. He is a big pork provider for his very rural district so he will always get reelected.

There just isn't anyone to step up and run against the likes of a Jeff Sessions machine in a one horse republican state. It probably won't make a huge difference, but there was talk of Alabama's Democratic primary be moved up to just after New Hampshire and Iowa. I really, really wish that would happen. I remember reading about one of the presidential candidates, maybe Edwards, who talked about visiting every county in Iowa. I presume all of the serious candidates must do that. I keep thinking if the presidential campaign came to every county in Alabama then maybe the Democrats could make some headway.

Edited to add: The extortion case occurred after the run against Sessions. My point is he wasn't exactly an improvement over Sessions.

7. Sessions as U.S. Senator? Well. If you think he's a throw-back
.
Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III as U.S. Senator? Well. If you think he's a throw-back as a U.S. Senator then do a google on him and find out what kind of a f*ck-up he was as Alabama Attorney General Jeff Sessions! Unreal. Or as U.S. Attorney Jeff Sessions employed by the U.S. Department of Justice. Again, unreal!

Yes, Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III is a total reactionary ass. Sessions personifies the old South and all its bigotry and hate. There's no excuse for the voters of Alabama not knowing for whom and for what they are voting when it comes to Sessions' reputation. He's been consistent throughout the years, and it's well-known.
