If they give $100 gas rebate checks......... |
|
Edited on Fri Apr-28-06 10:32 PM by Stryguy
If they give me a $100 gas rebate check they aren't actually giving anything are they? The country is in the red so they would have to borrow the money from someplace and thus would have to pay it back.. with interest... with your future tax money.
So by all logic it would be a $100 loan wouldn't it? Since inevitably I would have to pay it back when a responsible administration was in the whitehouse.
Simple enough. If you pay me $50 a month to live in my house. I decide to give you $10 back one month but borrow that money from a different friend. Then later require you to pay $55 a month for several months so I can pay back that friend I owe. Did you actually get anything at all?
Besides screwed I mean.

some crumbs and they will be grateful and won't notice the walls crashing in around them. They are simply trying to buy people off.
This is not sound policy. We need energy, economic, and national policies to lead this country out of the train wreck that it seems to be heading for.

Send it to Howard Dean at the DNC. Can you imagine what 5MM $100 checks could do? We could run a $500MM ad campaign and fund all candidates. No special interest monies involved. I like this...
