Limo company in DC got TWENTY ONE MILLION DOLLAR contract
from Homeland Security. This is the company accused of providing Prostitutes for Randy Duke Cunningham and his ilk. TWENTY ONE FUCKING MILLION DOLLARS.

~snip~ Baker (president of Shirlington Limousines) has a criminal record and has experienced financial difficulties, public records show. Last fall, his company was awarded a $21 million contract with the Department of Homeland Security to provide transportation, including limo service for senior officials. Baker and his lawyer declined to comment yesterday. ~snip~

13. HOWARD University DUMPED them for SHODDY SERVICE!
And the OWNER is a real PRIZE: Before starting Shirlington Limousine, public records show, Baker compiled a lengthy criminal record. Between 1979 and 1989, he was convicted on several misdemeanor charges, including drug possession and attempted petty larceny, as well as two felony charges for attempted robbery and car theft, according to D.C. Superior Court records....That summer, Howard University terminated a contract with Shirlington Limousine to supply shuttle bus service, citing poor service and other problems.

I suspect that DUKE CUNNINGHAM himself was the one that put the Feds on to this. It was probably part of his plea deal, so he doesn't spend the REST of his life in jail. The reason I think that is this ONE sentence in the article:

Cunningham's lawyer, K. Lee Blalack II, declined to comment.

Ya gotta hang together, or ya hang separately!!!

10. And that's just to use the limos, not to buy them. Where's
the outrage, or coverage for that matter? Corporate media whores don't see this as a story, or at the very least a waste?

12. I want to know which company owed 1.8 million settled for 300,000 and
what connections THEY have to all of this? Did someone pay them off to make it go away? WHY would they settle for $300,000 when owed almost $2 million? And this was NOT a bankruptcy hearing!!!

KPete posted about this with a link to the WAPO article, and I believe the case you're referring to is mentioned there.

17. America...a sham & a shame...indignation & morality are politics as usual.
We have become a sorry nation. We're this the Clinton Administration, they would have place Clinton directly in the limos receiving sex while Hillary drove.
