How much longer will we have the stink of Nixon on our government?
Richard Nixon singlehandedly did more damage to the political system in this nation than any person save Nixon Jr (* in his Nixon mask). The stench suffocating. Old Nixon cronies, appointees, aging interns from the Nixon WH and adminstration, students who cut their teeth on Nixonian paranoia. Will it take another generation to purge this festering mass of stink from the body politic.

1. I think we'll' always be stuck with it...
Don't forget the youngsters that are part of this Administration that will probably be running the country 30 years from now.

It is a vicious cycle.

2. Excellent question! Bush's NSA spied on me. Really.

The FBI spied on me in the 70's, and I've protested Bush's
war with the Baltimore group the NSA has spied on recently.

The details are on my blog (http://ascrivenerslament.blogspot.com/).

3. There will always be corruption

yet, it is quite obvious that the current membership of the Republican Party is head and shoulders above the rest on that parameter.

When all the truth finally comes out about this administration (and I'm sure there are TONS more than even we realize, at this moment!) I really don't see how the Republican Party can continue -- they've destroyed any semblance of honor connoted with that word. I really think the Republican Party will fold.
It will be forced to, operating as a 'Republican' will be untenable. You think "liberal" has turned into a shameful word??! It will be considered downright HOLY compared to what the Republicans have done to themselves.

Of course a new party means nothing -- all these same criminals will just recongregate under another name
*garbage by any other name will reek as bad*

Still, I can't help but feel such sorrow that Abe's beloved party will be destroyed, and in such an ignoble fashion...

4. By the time this Administration is done....
Nixon will be all but forgotten. The dirty deeds of * and his boys will make Nixon's activities seem like harmless indiscretions.

5. Prescott begat Nixon. Nixon begat Poppy. Poppy begat Dumbshit.

Hitler begat Prescott.
