Very heartening. The look on the girl's face in the white t-shirt is one of righteous determination.

7. You did well getting such a good turnout
while authorities tried to stop it by preventing the concert and curtailing students' rights to hand out flyers about the protest.

I know a lot of the articles reference "high school students" but wasn't it about half U of M students?

8. it's hard to tell the difference between u fo m and high school students
since outside of my group, i don't know any faces. I'd say it was probably close to half and half, although there is no way to back that up. high schoolers always get more coverage, since skipping high school classes is a bigger deal than skipping college.

lots of the media has been really confused about this. if you wathced kare 11 at 5 yesterday, I have a hard time believing they were even at the protest. it seemed like they heard they would be a protest, sent a camere man, and then made up a story about it. they even said that we marched downtown. something we wanted to do, but wound up not doing.
