Want to guess what Rush will tell his dittoheads on Monday?
Here are some possibilities:

"Unlike people of color, I've been diagnosed with an illness."

"The prosecutor behind all this was a Clinton supporter."

"Most of those who think I did anything wrong hate America."

"It was all a liberal plot from the beginning."

"My maid was an illegal immigrant. It just goes to show what these people are capable of."

"Our troops listen to me all the time and the things people are saying about me will hurt their morale."

"It wasn't a 'mug shot.' The Palm Beach County Sheriff's office was helping me out with some new publicity photos."

"Don't believe the liberal media propaganda. No one walks away from drug charges for a mere a thirty thousand dollars."

"My friends, El Rushbo has triumphed. If I were a criminal, would I still be on the radio?"

"They tried to get me, but a pure heart and a clear conscience were all I needed. Remember that if anyone ever goes after you."

What excuse do you think he'll give his dittoheads?

1. "I TOLD you the prosecution didn't have a real case against me!"
Edited on Sat Apr-29-06 01:15 PM by rocknation
And he'd he right--unless the prosecution was just too plain scared to take him on.

Were they worried about the jury getting stacked with Limbaugh loyalists? Were they worried about the defense putting the housekeeper witness on trial? Or was the replacement prosecutor politically wired--can he look forward to getting promoted now?

:(

9. It was a Democrat prosecuting attorney
and a liberal planted the drugs and a radical leftist feminist turned me in and a homosexual activist molested me when I was booked. . .

That's what he'll say.

He copped a plea. The smart thing would be for his stupid mouth to clam up.

4. And........
Don't get bamboozled. In criminal cases we don't call them "settlement agreements." They are plea bargains.

And while the prosecutor's recommendation to the court will carry great weight, the judge is not obligated to ratify the plea agreement.

Oh, and the money being paid is called a fine. Black can call it reimbursement, but that's BS.

7. If Rush had any sense of decency,
(I said "if"), he'd use his bacon-being-saved-from-frying-pan good fortune to lobby on behalf of the many unfortunate people who really ARE rotting in prison for prescription drug fraud. Someone posted last night about a man in Florida who was sentenced to 25 years for illegally obtaining Oxycontin for a crippling back problem. It should be the other way around; the slimy prosecutor who persecuted that poor man should be in prison for abusing his authority.

10. Does it really matter?
He pleads Not Guilty, the case is shelved for 18 months. After 18 months of "continuing treatment" the case is expunged, thrown out, and shredded.

From Doctor Shopping, to one count of Perscription Fraud, wow, talk about minor annoyance.

He can honestly say he is NOT GUILTY, and the facts of the case would back up his claim. His only plea before the case is "Not Guilty" and there is to be no trial for 18 months.

He can and will announce this was a win to get it over with, as advised by his attorney, with a pittiance of a fine, money he won't ever miss. Continuing the already progressing Drug Treatment, something he will say he was going to continue anyway.

For $33,000 about what he makes during a commecial break, he is off scott free, and the annoyance of the investigation is over. He will also claim it shows how weak the Politically motivated Prosecution of him was.

He will crow that it is a huge win for truth, and console Liberals everywhere for having missed their chance to see him behind bars.

13. He will blame the liberals. Complain about the $30k --unfair,
outrageous amount. Say something about how HE has an illness, unlike other drug addicts. Since when is pain against the law. It's a liberal plot, he's a victim. It's all the doctors fault. Maybe he will drag out the sniffling and crying act again. :eyes:

:nopity: Cry me a river, Dumbo.

Not $30,000. Did I miss something? I know, the 10% percent thing, but....
