the television in this house has been tuned to the football draft all day long (sadly so) and no one has had a chance to watch anything else,expect for a brief respite for the local news and there was hardly any mention of it then.

1. Brief mention on NBC News
Not much of coverage, just a quick mention and a few seconds of video.

4. one of the way that nixon finally figured out how to stop the vietnam
protests was to censor the television stations (stop them) from showing them. these bushit boys from poppy on down .... well they must have learned the lesson all too damn well.

2. Try cnn
http://www.cnn.com/2006/US/04/29/war.protest.ap/index.html

Tens of thousands of anti-war protesters marched Saturday through Manhattan to demand an immediate withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq just hours after an American soldier died in a roadside explosion in Baghdad -- the 70th U.S. fighter killed in that country this month. <snip>

It's up now.

WaPo also has the story:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/04/29/AR2006042900497.html

<snip>
The demonstrators stretched for about 10 blocks as they headed down Broadway. Organizers said 300,000 people marched, though a police spokesman declined to give an estimate. There were no reports of arrests.

<snip>

The story is there and it's big.
