5. A bit of a preview:
"I truck in insincerity. With a very straight face, I say things I don't believe," Stephen Colbert tells Morley Safer in an interview about his character on the hit Comedy Central "fake news" program "The Colbert Report."
-snip-
His urge to mock virtually anything has continued into adulthood. "Acceptance, or blind acceptance — of authority is not easy for me," says Colbert. Nothing is sacred — not religion, nor the media, nor politicians. "

10. Eleny, hope you don't get bent out of shape, but here are some changes:

There are some grammar problems with your wonderful comment. I hope you don't mind me pointing them out:

"A nation that loses it's control, it's check on its executive is something other than a democracy." - John Dean

Corrected, it should read:
"A nation that loses ITS (that is "belonging to it, or possessive") control, ITS (again, "possessive tense") check on its (this one is correct) executive is something other than a democracy." - John Dean

Three mentions of "its" in the "possessive, or belonging to" tense.

"It's" is ALWAYS a contraction of IT and IS. "It's Harry at the door." If you say, "it is" -- and the rest of the sentence doesn't work, then you KNOW it's wrong.

This rule goes AGAINST all you have ever learned about grammar, and is the most common mistake in the English language.
