58. Here you go, it's an online form page, not a regular e-mail address.
Most major websites are having to go to these, due to the enormous volume of spam a site like this gets.

40. The PTB (powers that be) folks who laughed were...
Scalia (he just loves this story about his vulgarity) and one of the Generals, who laughed when Colbert made the joke about Rummy. Everybody else was a spoiled sport. I mean why can't they see the humor in being blamed for ruining the country and the world. Some people;)

50. The Colbert part is only about the last 30 minutes
They usually replay this sort of thing 3 or 4 times, plus they might have it a CSPAN's broadband site soon too.

Just stay connected here, and if I don't see any posts about the next replay, I'll post one (although I am having network problems tonight, again).

But only for a minute. I thought the black SUV jokes didn't go over so well and "Was that flop sweat beginning to happen?" Then, THEN! I realized he wasn't selling out for laughs, he didn't care about that. He was there for a reason and he never flinched or pulled punches. It was the greatest performance and moment of truth I have ever seen. It's what I've been waiting and longing for and he did it! What courage, what balls what a hero!

how he made himself out to be such a Bush "admirer." I guess I just am not a huge fan of sarcasm. Give it to me straight. I can take it. He did do a pretty good job of touching on all the issues important to me, however. And I LOVED his "audition" tape. Good stuff.

He was sure to slam that home hard. Shame the press into performing their jobs.

I love him for having the courage to stand there and tell the truth regardless of crickets.

23. Exactly what I was hoping for.
I wasn't sure if he'd play nice or if he'd go for broke. I was hoping for the latter, and man, I got it in spades. I no longer feel silly calling Colbert one of my heroes. He stood up there for a half hour or more sticking it to both the administration and the media, and he did it on their turf. The man has guts. And, of course, big brass balls.

So now the media's outraged? Fuck 'em. If they had half the guts a basic cable comedian showed tonight, maybe our country wouldn't be swirling down the shitter.

Fucking whores with their nervous laughter. "Oooh, mein fuhrer might hear me laugh at him." What an embarassing bunch they are. They should worship Colbert as a God, a man with more courage than they could ever hope to have; instead, they'll talk about how "inappropriate" his remarks were. What's inappropriate is the WH press corps having food on their tables.

My sides are hurting from laughter, my face is hot from embarrassment for the silence that Colbert had to endure while he and only he and the beautiful Helen stood up for the truth. My chest is puffed from the swelling pride. Fantastic job, Mr. Colbert. May you help to dislodge a brick from this crumbling decaying administration that has caused so much pain and heartache and tears to so many.

He roasted the press. That's what this night is all about, right? He made them "OWN" this. They have earned every single last sarcastic jab- and then some. They have failed their country miserably. Actions have consequences. Hell, we've been saying that all along. It is finally coming to pass. They are being held responsible. It's about fricking time.

72. It was a very shocking performance... I'd call it an impeachment
I wouldn't say there was anything funny about it. It was disrespectful, it was merciless, it was humiliating... and of course it was deserved and long overdue. They all just sat there, smiling weakly and couldn't move! Neither could I! My mouth was hanging open. I truly expected people to start walking out in the middle of it.

Talk about a stealth attack. Will Tony Snow still have a job tomorrow for allowing Bush to walk into this situation? Or was it Karl's
way of sticking it to Bush?

I think it's about time W and Laura got a dose of reality. But even though I hate what they have done to our country, I almost felt
sorry/embarassed for them. I expected Colbert to "go for it".. but man, he just unloaded.

Today was a big day - Colbert, New Yorkers in the streets, Neil Young speaking out, Dylan in New Orleans,

76. here's one I'll bet they REALLY loved:
Addressing the reporters, he said, "You should spend more time with your families, write that novel you've always wanted to write. You know, the one about the fearless reporter who stands up to the administration. You know-- fiction."

80. Fuck the media.
If the sniveling wussies had done their fucking jobs for the last five years, we wouldn't need comedians to do it for them.

84. LOL! The freepers and the White House have somthing
in common when the name of Stephan Colbert is mentioned. They both have an excessive and frequent evacuation of watery feces, indicating gastrointestinal distress.

89. The Mainstream Media Deserved Colbert's Bitch Slap
The anchors we see on cable television should be classified as news models, or as they say in the UK, news presenters. They are not reporters. They might do an interview with an actress or musician, but their main job duties are to look good in front of the camera and read a telepromter without tripping over their lines.
