Sorry but I find very little humor in the WHC dinner |
|
Most of the pukes in the audience laughing are the ones who helped enable the invasion of Iraq
There is NOTHING funny about this, or about the deaths that have been caused in our name
HA HA HA, tell that to some Mother, wife, or child that lost someone in Iraq

2. It's a major lambasting of this president. It's couched in |
|
jokes, but it's happening. As for the audience, I don't believe people there aren't digging this, despite what might be heard on CSPAN. I also never saw dimson's reaction to Colbert, who is up now. I guarantee you there are people giddy with glee at what's going on tonight. I am!

5. I'm guessing you didn't watch this year.... |
|
Certainly, I'd agree with you on previous years--especially the year Bush* did his WMD search "joke." Horrendous...
This year was revenge for all that--at the hands of Colbert. Bush* was punked big time...

6. I am watching it now, and you are right |
|
He is telling it like it is, and NOT just to the administration, but to the pukes in the media who allowed this to happen
My appologies, I spoke before I saw Colbert

9. It's not supposed to be funny |
|
And it's not supposed to be serious, either. This is a humor-agnostic skit. It's perceived humor or lack of it is entirely a result of each listener's perspective. So it's OK if you didn't find it funny. And it's OK if others did. I believe it was the most brilliant and truthful 1/2 hour exposure of this pResident ever.
Parts were funny to me. Other parts left my jaw closer to the floor than to my nose.

|
admin f*ck ups. To be honest it wasn't all that funny cuz it was so true. Had to laugh at a dead on joke about the war, or Plame, or Gannon. Powerful!

Usually the audience laughs pretty loud and long. Must have been mostly Bush suck ups there. Although it was good to see Joe Wilson and his wife attending. Nice looking couple!

|
They got it allright and they looked like they had hot pokers up their asses and not sure what they should do with the dish Colbert was serving them.

24. It was an embarassment fest. Colbert dumped a turd in the punchbowl. |
|
This was a Washington insiders event. It really iwa disgusting, given what this administration has done to this country, but the media endorses it by showing up. That toast to the pResident almost made me puke.
Anyway, Colbert brought a little honesty to the party tonight. Those in attendence were being skewered along with the boyking. I hope it generates some real soul searching by those that are supposed to be watching out for our best interests, not their own.
