22. the audience was the press. How can they ignore what we know? |
|
because this was on the "internets" they have this sinking feeling. If they keep quiet, they lose all respect. If they report badly on Co-bear, they lose the last bits of self-respect. If they report honestly, and look in the mirror, they will be saved.

20. That was so funny! He said that "No, this administration is not |
|
rearranging chairs on the deck of the Titanic (referring the press reports on the WH staff changes). This administration is not sinking, it's SOARING. It's more like rearranging the deck chairs on the Hindenburg."

I saw the threads, read the responses, imagined what he might say but I must say watching the repeat on CSPAN even after all the lead ups this is the single most wonderful brutally honest moment I can remember. It is that spectacular and man are the audience members scared.

I rewound it and watched his face after Colbert gave him the "fuck you" gesture. He was deciding how to react.

15. Colbert has the biggest |
|
balls in the universe. It took major guts to get up there and do what he did tonite and do it in the Pres's face. Its one thing to lambast someone when they arent there, but to do what he did with bush sitting right there was marvelous. What a performance!
