MSNBC's site has a few of Colbert's jokes up. |
|
Story about the press dinner...I'm surprised they actually quoted him! And they're zingers, too (!).

Sorry. However, satisfaction is but a few easy clicks away...

2. I've been told that the anti-war protest in NYC and the |
|
DC protest about Darfur might surface tomorrow. I can only hope Colbert's appearance is added, if only to provide Americans with news.

6. First of all the protest in NYC today was all but ignored |
|
in the corporate media tonight as will the protest in DC tomorrow. Methinks that Colbert's brilliant performance will be as well. He embarrased them all, big time...
The big news will be on Monday over the immigration protests. Hell here in Chicago, the local NBC affiliate is starting live coverage at 11:00 am and I don't ever remember any station in Chicago ever covering any sort of a protest that early in the day.

7. I KNOW it was ignored, but I imagine, given the dearth of news on |
|
weekends, the papers might cover the protest in NY (300,000+ people?) which means everyone else will have to. Also, there was a protest about Darfur in DC, and I have no clue how many went to that, though I know some of our DUers did. :loveya: Finally, Colbert will get LOTS of ink, good or bad. I know, Monday is the day everyone can get on board for the immigration protests. I'm not there at the moment.

8. You misunderstood my point. |
|
All I was trying to say is that even with both the protests and what Colbert said tonight, the word has gone out to ignore it all.
The only reason I mentioned the immigration protests on Monday is that they will be covered by the corporate media because this is a wedge issue for the Pukes.
