2. That's the official spin... |
|
and you can counter it by sending Colbert's video to everyone you know.
The media is Bush's monkey.

5. He did very little, actually, and that's about par for the course |
|
The bulk of the HUMOR came from the IMPERSONATOR, not the Monkey. He had a few comedic lines, but for the most part, he played the straight man.
I thought the show was great, and I don't really give a crap how the media covers it. You can't get up there and go "head on" at the President...ya gotta do "Roast Lite" at those things. I think it was just a tad "over the line" --enough to cause a few tongues to wag--but not so much that anyone could get spitting mad. It was two to four notches back from the shit IMUS pulled with Clinton, that's for sure.

8. Actually Bush's double was quite funny |
|
Steve Colbert was a little to honest for most people in the audience. He had many jabs for the administration and for the press corps - basically called them a bunch of scribes that write down what they are told. True but not so funny.

what REALLY matters is that you've got 2 oil men in the WH and gas is going to approach $4 soon.
That's what's gonna make a difference - when it hits the narcissistic middle class in the wallet, then they'll be upset. Remember Carter and 19% prime rate?
that's all, folks.
