6. Did he say that? I have the sound off. |
|
Also, watch for "The Daily Show's Ed Helms (actually, I think he just went by), the CSPAN Graphics person must not be a fan, because they didn't put up his name.

being escorted by their ridiculously young-looking wives?
How long into the dinner does Colbert speak? Do I have time to run to the corner and get the Sunday paper?

OK, I watched it after reading all of yesterday's comments on DU, and all I can say is I was underwhelmed. Colbert came across as nervous, and his film went on Way Too Long. Timing is the heart of comedy.
What really surprised me was Bush and his double: it was like a good old-fashioned SNL skit. Why do I think he spent more time rehearsing this than he does on most of his speeches?

18. god....what planet are you from? |
|
the bush duo was HIDEOUS from so many standpoints
the most obvious being that he HUMILIATED himself in front of the entire world, portraying himself as a witless, hapless sideshow geek, whose only comedic defense is his IDIOCY
what an embarrassment to the world
too bad you fell into the trap of relying on the hostile audience for your appreciation of his words
you might want to find the thread where they have his words transcribed and try reading it. it works much better in print
if the Daily Show was smart, they'd replay it, and SWEETEN the response, as they do with the idiotic sitcoms.
